Murree city is a popular hill station and a summer resort, especially for the residents of Islamabad, and for the cities of the province of Punjab, Pakistan. Murree is also the administrative centre of Murree Tehsil, which is a sub-division of Rawalpindi district and includes the Murree hills.
The word "Murree" is derived form "Marry", the name of a princess in British rule. Murree is a small and beautiful city of Pakistan located on a hill top. It comes in the Punjab Province almost 50 kilometers away north from the capital city Islamabad. It is also known as "Malika-e-Kohsar" means "The Queen of the Mountains". People from all over the country come here to enjoy their weekends, for study trips, to celebrate their parties and to make the moments of their love memorable. You find many hotels in the main city built to flourish the tourism. Rooms are easily available at rental basis to stay and enjoy the tour of Murree. So its also known as the "City of Hotels", based on the large number of built hotels. Many people go there for business in the winter and summer seasons because the city is suitable for business in the winter, when its snow falling as well as in the summer when many people go there to get some break in the hot weather from the other parts of the country. Its the oldest and the most famous road in the city used for carts in the British rule, but now it is used only for pedestrians and tourists.
4: New Murree:
It a beautiful place located near the main city of Murree. People go there to enjoy the ride of another chair lift longer than pindi point.
5: Nathiya Gali and Ayubia:
You can go there to view the natural life closely with forest and monkeys as well.
